Last year I purchased a Solent 23cm Amateur Television (ATV) transmitter. Although working, it needed a bit of a tidy up. Whilst tidying things up I decided to make a few modifications and place the transmitter in a new case too.

In October 2018 I started using a Comtech 23cm transmitter for my ATV operations. Rather than use the 8-way dip switches to tune the transmitter, I decided to work on a project to develop a rotary LCD tuner using an Arduino Uno as the micro-controller. This article shows how I did it, including the code.
For 23cm Amateur TeleVision (ATV) I am using a Comtech 23cm transmitter powered by a 13.8V power supply.

On 19th January 2017, I started the process of making a printed circuit board for my 23cm amplifier project. I was extremely pleased with the results so thought I would write an article and make a video that shows how I did it.
In April 2017 I constructed a masthead pre-amplifier unit for 23cm ATV (Amateur Television) using a G8FEK low noise amplifier (LNA), two Tohtsu CX-520D coaxial relays and a homebrew PCB.

It’s 13th November 2017 and I’ve just started to design my liquid cooled RF amplifier for 23cm Amateur Television (ATV).
Recently my Dad made me some custom wall brackets. I will be using the brackets to support a pole and my new Yaesu G-450 rotator, WIMO SHF-2344 yagi for 23cm, EAntenna EA270ZB13 yagi for 2m and 70cm and masthead pre-amplifier unit for 23cm.
When I was thirteen years old, I remember hooking up an old Amstrad analogue satellite receiver to a homebrew yagi antenna to receive amateur radio television (ATV) from Lincoln repeater GB3VL. That was as far as I got with ATV until a recently.
To receive 1.3 GHz (23cm) digital Amateur Television (ATV) transmissions from my local repeater GB3VL, I am using a Humax Foxsat HD/GB (click here for user manual) digital satellite receiver.
